From their site - " We cannot modify browser or program settings, nor can we install software or plug-ins (in much the same way that TV commercials cannot modify your television or channel settings)" from my experience they look clean...

They put those banner ads on the sites and charge money for it but are harmless otherwise......

Pop-unders are much more annoying than ads because they appear on the front of you instead of behind the browser, most of them are slowing down your browser, and you may accidentally click them (pop-ups are less annoying, you cannot click them by mistake).

Not violent and not illegal. More precisely, they're actually an ad server, so it is already something to talk about aggressive behaviour. Anyways, you guys should know that they use futile reasons to explain their weird behaviour: "The publishers you are visiting online sell pop-under advertising on their websites as a way to make their content available to you free of charge or at subsidized pricing. Pop-unders are an IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) approved ad format." And in the FAQ section: "I have a pop-up blocker. Why am I still receiving these ads?" "OptMD does not deliver pop-ups, only pop-unders. Pop-ups are ads which appear over top of your web browser, blocking your view of a page's content until you close them or move them away. Pop-unders are ads which appear behind your web browser. Pop-unders do not obstruct your view of the content you are actively consuming. Pop-up blockers can not always effectively block pop-unders." And the last and most disturbing fact about OptMD is that they use bots to comment on site-rating sites. One of the bots: >> AdExpSp @ http://www.mywot.com/scorecard/optmd.com/comment-1983130#comment-1983130 >>NerdLive @ http://www.*****/sites/optmd.com/msgpage?page=2 They both sent the same text, with the same grammar errors, as put here: "The pops don't actually disturb you as much... they go under your browser waiting for the user action allowing you to continue any work, if you're not interested on the add, you just close it. Once you visit a site and an optmd related window pops up, you are supporting that web site pay for their people" As you guys see, they both say the same. Another proof: >>AltExp007 @ http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/optmd.com/msgpage?page=2 >>HardJimNet001 @ http://www.mywot.com/scorecard/optmd.com/comment-2039855#comment-2039855 "In my opinion there's nothing to worry about by visiting this website. Thanks" Another one? Okay... >>BeachBoy27 @ http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/optmd.com/msgpage?page=1 >>GaleanuExp39 @ http://www.mywot.com/scorecard/optmd.com/comment-1918738#comment-1918738 Well, that is all. I don't want to lose my time here to put more than three bots seen at both siteadvisor.com and mywot.com. If you take a closer look, they are ALL bots. But I won't put them down here. I'm done here. Bye! --------EDIT-------- ---As of 12/20/09, Sunday, 0:04--- Yeah, today I found something interesting nd funny at the same time. Some people sa that they rate this site good because they see no bad on this site, and that they have 'experience'. Everyone who has a little experience (like, two years) needs to know that an advertising site is NOT a good site. And one guy called Gridlock25 (http://mywot.com/en/user/540458) that says: "Both McAfee and Norton declares this site as being safe so I don't understand why users on this forum be trying to say anything different. Let's listen to the experts." >> Gridlock25 @ http://mywot.com/en/scorecard/optmd.com/comment-2014399#comment This is not only for Gridlock, this is for EVERYBODY: Not everybody who works at McAfee or at Kaspersky or at Symantec or at PcTools or at Crawler is an expert. And not only there aren't just experts working there, there are experts that doesn't EVEN work with computers or technology. That is all I have to say this morning. Bye, everybody... for now.

They deliver "pop-unders" which is an approved ad format by Interactive Advertising Bureau. From their site: "pop-under ads are less intrusive and do not disturb your browsing experience or force you to view an ad before you can access page content"
