Spamming heavy traffic sites with ads disguised as "important updates." inexperienced users might think they are being told by you-tube, vemo, etc that they are being directed to install spam/malware from a reliable source.

I got a Win.Enterpise86x.Bitlocker when I clicked on the link in an email I got linking me to this website.
This obscure website with 'website stats' ranked high in the Google SERP results when I searched on one of my own blog posts. When I clicked the link and bypassed the WOT warning, the website seemed to show a quick glimpse of a colourful figure and then removed it, and this text appeared instead:
'You have requested information about [blog address] website. Unfortunately we removed it for violations. '
Violations of what? Who are these guys? I have never requested their service or agreed with any terms.
i have used statscrop quite a few times and i always noticed that it was inaccurate, although occasionally capturing a snapshot of my website, it would never update accurately and my old site which had almost nothing on it and a super long url .info scored way higher than my current site which i havent seen the rating lately because i saw the warning on WOT, which saved me again as when I regularly went to this site I was regularly getting viruses, im not blaming them, but it is very suspicious and i cannot help but be weary as i no longer visit the site and i havent had a virus since... i just dont trust
As a webmaster I can assure everyone that the stats displayed by this site are totally fictional. Exactly what the ruse is I don't know but the facts and figures displayed by the site are so inaccurate as to be laughable.
Seems to scrape data from Alexa. Supposedly "reviews" sites, yet it is all auto-generated.
...They have some how acquired my credit card number which is now being looked into, and, gave another unrelated company authorization to withdraw from my account for either their services or a product which is still in question as no one can tell me what that was or is, as in is, who authorized it, who purchased the product/services, such as their name and all of this without requiring the least bit of profiling to see whether or not the card holder was me?
...Have spent the last 22 hours trying to get contact addresses, phone numbers, names with all their contact as equally puzzling in that they are not being recognized????
...Are waiting now to find out if those I did get in contact with will respond to my emails as to how they can obtain a credit card number and my authorization when I have never heard about them, and no, I didn't and don't purchase from unknown email websites and have only four I have done business with in over 8 years now.
...No one but no one gets my credit card information without some serious back up research and carefully protecting any withdrawals from my banking system???? "
Very interesting site if you are an adult.
Uses lots of data from Alexa and Google.
