TD Ameritrade is another large online broker. If you are a professional trader or a private investor this is one of your many options.
Site is clean and well put together and currently secure.
Recently they had a huge security breaks with hacker stealing user information, can this happen to anyone? yes TD Ameritrade happened to be their target unfortunately.
Their new security measure seem to be intact and just as good as any other brokerage. Child friendly meaning no malicious content.
TD Ameritrade has provided me with a great online and offline user experience with respect to all the ratings provided for by Web of Trust. They have continually delivered a high standard of customer service in my experiences with them, and they seem to be genuinely committed to user account security.
TD Ameritrade got pwned/hacked/cracked. On Friday, September 4, 2007, they admitted that their main user database had been hacked. It had taken them TWO YEARS to follow up on complaints from customers alerting them to the breach, which were posted on the 'net by October 2005. The crooks launched pump-n-dump spam scheme on the customers via email spam, as well as a spear phishing campaign; there are even indications of ID theft using social security numbers. TD Ameritrade is an excellent online broker site that I have been using for more than 5 years now. It's totally reliable to me, I have never experience any kind of problems with it. Their contents are childsafe in a 100% basis. It does not make you change your password, however. What can be considered a lack of security
