Compromised hosts serving up phishg of various kinds
tracker.marinsm.com is operated by http://www.marinsoftware.com/, which describes itself as a unified platform for revenue acquisition. The URL suggests that other sites use it for visitor tracking purposes. Presumably they also use the solution for selecting which ads to show you.
Not likely to intentionally be serving up scam ads or malware, but is clearly attempting to track your browing habits across a wide range of sites.

Agree. This tracker site is a part of other vendor's ad redirect. When it fails to redirect properly, it doesn't mean this ad tracker is posing as another site. This redirecter is harmless
My previous comment rating this site as poor was because I encountered a phishing scam at the time. Upon returning to the site months later I found no problems.
The tracking aspect of advertising should be common knowledge. It tracks the clicks an ad get, not your name. You should look into privacy add-ons for your browser to keep tracking from being a problem because tracking information is stored on your computer. They are "cookies" and can be stopped by you at the source.
I'm in gmail and I'm getting this site for Google Ads displaying digikey.com, a reputable online seller I've ordered from many times, so I was wondering why it had a bad rating. . PuddinTame's comment helps greatly in explaining why. I at first want to call it a flaw in WOT, though it shows the complexities of modern websites. I do hope this sort of thing can somehow get fixed.
This is a TradeMe section of their website it is used for Buying and Selling of used motor car and motor bike parts.
Poses as sites that it isn't. This site appears to pose as many other sites, one of which was Dell.com.
