dmoonme1- Perhaps you should do your research before opening your mouth. Firstly, for about the last 10 years, Norton has been arguably the worst pay license anti-virus available. I suspect there are many, many things that never get "a peep out of Norton/Symantic". You would be better off with AVG-Free, and if you want a real program, try ESET. Second, this site is flagged on just about every malware guide on the web. For example, http://www.spywareguide.com/product_show.php?id=2184. If you were actually interested in this, a web search would have shown you these "supposed lists" within about 10 seconds. If you are not going to be a responsible member of this community, why participate?
Now, if you insist on using a program as useless as Norton, download Spybot http://download.cnet.com/Spybot-Search-amp-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10122137.html?tag=mncol -It will flag this for you and detail the registry entries involved. Now, is this site dropping a rootkit or a nasty trojan on you? No. But it is spyware/adware as it modifies your browser(s) and tracks/distributes your personal information... A huge deal, no, but don't be a jerkoff if you can't back it up.
An EXCELLENT site to use if you want to save money! Nevermind the hype about adware and spyware. It's an advertising business so one should expect to have ones information passed along for even more MONEY-SAVING offers!
It's a site to print COUPONS! It's not a bank! You can expect to receive many offers from others and you can STILL print coupons and yes, the coupons are valid! Money is made in advertising by SHARING your contact information. I like this site. I have a strong firewall and script-blocking software in case there could be a problem. I've had no problems with this site and it's helped me to save LOTS of money! If you want to save money, use this site and ENJOY keeping some green in the wallet! If you don't want other offers and don't want to save money, I advise you to buy your local Sunday paper and clip coupons the old fashioned way!
I don't know why this site is so maligned. I have their cookies and printer software installed with never a peep out of any of my Norton,Symantic and/or any other if my vast array of security programs I have installed on my PC. WOT Is the only one I have where anyone has had something nasty to say about it. I have never had anyspam related issues with it. Their coupons are easier than going through the Sunday paper and comparable to same. Don't spread rumors is you can't back them up. Where are these supposed lists anyway? May I access them?
Unarguably a bad site.
uses a privacy service to hide the owner's identity,
uses deceptive filenames and registry entries,
uses masking techniques to make sandboxed* malware testing difficult.
