BEWARE!!! Check your credit card or debit card transactions after you go to this site!!! I was charged with over 100 dollars in pure scam charges!!! I signed up and looked at my report and then immediately canceled my membership and they still used my card number!! I had to chop up my credit card and debit card and open entirely new accounts!

No, this website doesn't harm your computer. It doesn't spy on your surfing habits, or scatter rootkits throughout your computer. But it uses somewhat misleading marketing tactics.
They make it sound free, but when you sign up for a credit report which they tell you is free, they charge you monthly.

Well, contrary to what people seem to be posting, this site is NOT fraudulent, nor is it phishing-related. Granted, it does require a sign-up , and you do only get one month's monitoring for free, but it does not sign you up for any other services, give out your personal information, or flood your inbox with spam.

I have called in SEVERAL times to cancel my account and they will not cancel it still. I have been trying to cancel my account since July 2008 and they still are charging my card. DO NOT USE THIS SITE! A better site is www.truecredit.com. I have been using that site for quite a while now and I have never had any problems with it.

Freecreditreport is NOT free. It requires enrollment into Triple advantage. You can get a FREE credit report at https://www.annualcreditreport.com and be happy.

So far using the service for 5+ years now, I have not had any problems. FCR has reported things others have not. As with any service, you have to go in with eye open and know the risks. These are the first I've heard negatives.

This is not the official website for official free credit report. It's a commercial service that requires you enroll in a credit monitoring service to receive your "free" report. The correct, government-sponsored website is http://www.annualcreditreport.com/

Gives you a free TRIAL but then charges you not long after. This is a scam because they emphasize the word FREE and and only mention the fact it's only a trial and that you will be charged in a few months, in the fine print. Also, from what I've heard, they also scam. Please choose another site for your credit report.
