Le site lpsnmedia.net est-il sûr ?

Seems to be used by big corporations for tracking (e.g. British Telecom) - over 1MB of cookies and other data linked to lpsnmedia.net. But it does such a bad job that when I log into other accounts on other sites, it carries over personal info from the previous sites, essentially allowing data to be shared about me and the accounts between the unrelated corporations. This despite the fact that I have disallowed all but essential cookies on those sites.

This site, lpsnmedia.net is owned by LivePerson, Inc ( ***** ). Their major product seems to be real time live chat software to talk to customers (in place of using an automated voice system or the like). It appears they have the ability to use various social media feeds (e.g., Twitter) as well as a dedicated client (which probably appears as a widget on their web page). LivePerson's privacy policy only pertains to their customers (i.e., the web sites that purchase and use the LivePerson software) and not end-users (i.e., you and I). They defer that to the privacy policy of the web site upon which their software is running. I'm going to assume that LivePerson never sees what end-users supply to the chat tools. Their privacy policy does mention that their chat software has the capability to record and playback transcripts of a chat session. It can also apparently parse for keywords in the chat stream to assess the users mood. (e.g., A phrase like ".... very unhappy with ..." might get flagged and that chat bumped to a special queue) This software itself isn't really a privacy concern as far as I can tell.
