This is an official site, even though it does sort of resemble some scam-type stock pics sites. You do have to pay for most of the pics on there, but they are good quality and they have a very large selection. Don't really know much about how private it is -- I usually use a fake e-mail address for signing up on sites like that. Concerning child safety, you can find some pics which can be considered inappropriate (model in tight/revealing clothing), but for the most part, that shouldn't be a problem.
