Some people think that if you support traditional family, then you hate homosexuals. This is not true. If you think about it, nature teaches us that you need a man and a woman to reproduce, so nothing else can be the basis of society. If you admit this, it does not mean that you hate homosexuals - you just know that homosexuality cannot form the basis of society.  If you disagree with me, that is fine; I won't say that you hate me just because you disagree with my worldview or lifestyle. Likewise I ask you not to say that I hate you just because I disagree with your worldview or lifestyle. Plus, if you are a Christian, like me, then your faith says that some lifestyles are pleasing to God and others are not. I do not hate or judge people whose lifestyle is not pleasing to God according to my faith: You have the right to want to please God or do things that are against him. He also doesn't want to judge you, but to save you, which is why Jesus Christ died for your sins and then rose to life, so that you may be saved if you repent and accept Him as your Lord. If you deny my right to believing this, even though I do nothing to hurt you and I act kindly and lovingly to you, then you are actually denying my right to free practice of religion and to freedom of conscience. Please note that I do not deny your right to these. I just wish that you would want to learn what pleases God and would love Him with all your heart, and love your neighbors as yourself.

People who understand the importance of marriage to society - and the social decline that happens when we try to make is seem that marriage doesn't matter. They clearly try to show that children do best when raised by their married biological parents - which means that it impossible to build a healthy society without it. Because of this truth about children - which we can do nothing to change - they seek to help society make the best choices as we go forward.
