freecreditreport.com é seguro?

Essentially steals money from people by having in small print on the page: "When you order your $1 Credit Report and Score here, you will begin your 7-day trial membership in Triple Advantage®. If you don´t cancel your membership within the 7-day trial period*, you will be billed $14.95 for each month that you continue your membership. You may cancel your trial membership anytime within the trial period without charge." I got my first $14.95 charge. Needless to say, this is BS. I got taken once before by one of these trial offers on an unrelated service, and thought I was being careful. However, I guess there is no end to what these type companies/people will do. This will be a new story on American Greed when this company inevitably falters. I don't even recall GETTING a credit report from these people. I thought I went to the right site, AnnualCreditReport.com or whatever it is. Apparently I gave them my credit card at some time though... CONSUMERS -- STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS NOT TO BE TRICKED OUT OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!! (owner/operator of a business that does things ETHICALLY)

This site is great, I have been using it for 10 years. People who complained because of the auto-charge, it states right on at the beginning that if you wish you cancel you have to call. So if you didn't read the terms of service, then you can't complain about their service.

This site probably has a low rating due to saying that it is a "free" place to get your credit score. However, it is only free for 30 days and if you do not cancel your membership then you are automatically charged every 30 days. I subscribed to this site before and canceled within the 30 days and did not have any problems. I now use the service to monitor my credit and receive emails if there are any changes to my credit report.

This site despite reports does in fact give you a free credit report and is owned and operated by Experian. It is not a phishing scam and their is no bait and switch. Their are several subscriber services which some people may have mistaken for the initial offer. This is a case of a good company being knocked around because of user error. I printed out my free credit report last week. I did not have to give any credit card information and I was happy with what I received... after all it comes directly from Experian.
