This site actually does redirect to the real ask site. I'm not sure if it was a phishing/fake ***** site before, but now it does redirect to the real one.

There is nothing wrong with this "address". It is simply an URL used by Ask.Com in its Google Ads (probably so it can see how well its ad campaingns are working). It takes you to the correct Ask.Com site. I have often found useful information on Ask.Com.

Is it possible that this site has paid - or deceptively paved - its way to the top of Google search results for a long series of search topics? They showed up on the top of my results after a very eclectic set of queries.

Provides simple redirect to ***** used in Google Search advertisements. Click on link yields a green rating after redirect. Also, going directly to site gives blank page.

It's kind of funny that Google will keep you from visiting sites they believe are hosting malware, but they continueally have sites like this as sponsored results. The result I got was for Rocketmail signin page, yet the fake URL said www.ask.com. Yahoo has the rights to rocketmail, Ask doesn't, so even if it was an official Ask site (which it's not) they have no business trying to lure Rocketmail users away from the actual rocketmail site.
Seeing some of the other WOT feedback they were looking for ASK.com. Pretty clearly this site is misrepresenting itself. The other part I don't understand is how this site even has the 15-17 point WOT ratings it had when I left this comment - who gives this site decent ratings and why?
