Youtube is a great site to watch, upload, and share videos. In fact, Youtube is one of the most popular sites in the internet, so one will need to be aware of biased comments here. It's common sense to know that not every domain is innocent but one needs to be aware of some annoyances and potentially dangerous content on Youtube. Youtube doesn't filter comments; therefore it's not uncommon to see offensive material such as very strong language, racist remarks, and spam. Some comments even solicitate URLs that entice you to acquire a «free Ipad» or such but actually give you virus payloads. One needs to be cautious and not click on any links the comments give unless you know them to be clean by your judgment. One doesn't need to worry about a child accessing adult material on this site, since videos are filtered and can be reported. Some videos do contain offensive material however you can report them or simply back out of the page. The majority of videos on Youtube are internet phenomenon, music, news, educational and generally blogs and other entertainment. The videos can have some advertisements, but those can be blocked by installing an extension. Overall, Youtube is harmless but use common knowledge for some select occassions.
