This site is not what it pretends to be. The name "Australian Environment Foundation" was chosen to sound like the genuine "Australian Conservation Foundation" and to make it seem like an organisation that has environmental issues at heart. It is in fact an off-shoot of the right-wing think tank the 'Institute of Public Affairs', and both have close links to the Australian Liberal Party (which is fighting a war against renewable energy).

This organization is a climate-denialist front for mid-sized fossil fuel organizations that don't see opportunity but threats. The site was set up by the Institute for Public Affairs, itself a small fossil-fuel player funded anti-climate change PR group. It was established with well-known climate change skeptics running it. ***** Regarding climate change, it's willfully, knowingly wrong. 97% of climate change scientists -- aka people who actually know what they are talking about -- agree that the globe is warming and that humans are the majority cause. There can be disagreement about what to do about it, but saying it isn't happening is selecting your own facts, not advocating a different response. Regarding wind power, a particular target for the AEF, it's wrong cradle-to-grave. 17 major reviews world-wide by independent organizations, governmental organizations, public health organizations and industry have all concluded the same thing: wind turbines don't make people sick. Some people who live very near wind turbines find the noise annoying, some of them get stressed. Australian setbacks for noise are already the most stringent in the world, but for the very, very minor noise remaining on some days, people are refusing to close their windows or use a white noise generator. ***** The rest of their arguments are equally biased and inaccurate. The information from this site should be considered to be untrue. It is a PR organization devoted to helping specific mid-sized businesses get around environmental protection regulations.

This AEF is an "astroturf" group hijacking the term "environmental". They are not protectors of the environment, but rather protectors (for hire) of those who wish to exploit the environment for personal benefit to the detriment of the environment. The site is full of half-truths and lies.
3
Lots of cherry picking and deception by omission at this website
4
Web site selects information and takes it out of context in order to push it's agenda. The name implies an organisation focused on environmental protection when if fact the agenda of the organisation and information on the web site propose the opposite.
