Is ixquick.com Safe?

Initiative très louable mais Ô combien décevante. Je dois revenir très souvent à google car sinon je rate la moitié des sites recherchés. Parfois la rubrique images ne donne strictement rien. Les résultats ne sont pas à la hauteur autant pour startpage que pour ixquick. Mais j'utilise ce dernier parce qu'il est le moins pire et pour la confidentialité. J'espère qu'un jour le niveau de recherche égalera réellement les résultats donnés par google, car on en est encore loin.

Provides privacy, prevents tracking. Its Settings provide some useful options. Will not let user fill in any webforms to buy anything or to register for access to anything via Ixquick, but the browser can access the webforms directly, losing the benefit of Ixquick's privacy protection. And it perennially fails to keep my preferred language in its settings, a middling nuisance. Originates from the EU. Very similar to its Western Hemisphere near-clone, Startpage.com.

Verry good site no tracking respect of provate life recomand it and boycott google

The only search engine that does not record your IP address. Your privacy is under attack! Every time you use a regular search engine, your search data is recorded. Major search engines capture your IP address and use tracking cookies to make a record of your search terms, the time of your visit, and the links you choose - then they store that information in a giant database. 99% time good if not I use DuckDuckgo 1% of the time

Finally a searchengine without the datagrabbing of Google and Co. Leaves a warm feeling. Hopefully keeps out roaches like the NSA. Is my standard SE now. Negative: doesn'f seem to find more detailed stuff :( , but anyway, it works alright for most purposes.

Does not record ip, no tracking, ixquick, & startpage are the best Sea\arch Engines available, with Proxies. Set them up correctly, & you can utilise, other S.E. with them REGARDS .............

The site itself seems safe.However as a search engine it left a lot to be desired. My results were irrelevant,followed by several spam sites.I love my privacy as much as the next guy butt i need results (something Google used to provide) My search was...How to prepare land in order to build a home (I worded this several different ways)
