Sourceforge.net is my primary source for open source software solutions. The Interface has been significantly improved over the last years.

Sourceforge.net is of course a trustworthy page, thus give me a chance to explain the category "annoying ads or popups":
When starting a download "Your <FILENAME> download will start in N seconds..." is displayed on top. However, there are usually oversized ads like "DOWNLOAD NOW" which try to trap unexperienced users. I know unexperienced users who clicked those links in order to get a their required sourceforge file. Moreover the destination pages usually have bad reputations of the WOT community.
That's the reason for choosing "annoying ads or popups" and I hope the community agrees with me.

While there I did some investigating and found that PDF CREATOR does infact install things on & in your computer you do NOT want there. I highly suggest you find another PDF Creator program - cuz this one will HAUNT you!

This is really amazing, wonderful and very useful open source services community on the net. I have never found any open source services site better than SF. SF is like a big dream for all the open source developers. Thanks SF and good luck !

It is of course a very big and diverse resource of the open source software, likely because of being so old. I host multiple my own projects there. But, really it may be time to say: the site is too slow for the user that just navigates between various projects, please do something about this. Surely, this is related to the huge popularity of the site: it is easy to be fast then there are not so many requests. Also, the search system is not very good if you are looking for something less popular, as it sorts much more by ranking that by the relevance of the search. Still, the side without any doubt could be recommended.
