Sanctimonious warrior mommies who cannot accept their children for anything less than the perfect children they signed up for but didn't get. People with zero scientific training who somehow think they are smarter than every legitimate scientist in the fields of medicine, immunology and vaccination. Women who fully embrace the "if you're not with us then you are against us" way of thinking. People who would welcome back the deaths of thousands from preventable diseases because of their refusal to accept their ideas are based on a fraud. Run, don't walk, away from this hate-filled holier-than-thou excuse of a website.
Angry and abusive tirades from distressed parents are no substitute for evidence of causation. Very sad to blame doctors and parents who vaccinate their children for causing autism and other developmental problems.
Having a child with a disability is no excuse for spreading misinformation about immunisation against dangerous childhood disease.
Anger and misinformation abound here. Don't trust anything you read here about vaccines. Many statements are demonstrably false.
Full of pseudoscientific propaganda, #quackery and well-debunked Stupid. Apparently modern medicine exists solely to destroy the human race and the more lives you save, or help to save, the more evil you are.
Frankly insane, but dangerously so..
Horrible hate-filled site about and by people who describe their child with autism as "damaged". These people hate the fact that their child has autism, they hate autism, and they really hate their children for not being the "perfect" child they thought they were entitled to. Reading it makes me sick to my stomach.
It's rabidly anti-vaccination, regurgitating all the anti-science bullshit about vaccines causing autism, and they worship at the feet of that charlatan ex-Dr Wakefield. The level of ignorance and fear-mongering is intense, and all the other anti-vax propaganda gets a run too.
There's also dangerous advice about scam "treatments" like chelation and detoxes. The site is a festival of woo, wishful thinking and weirdos.
My mind feels unclean just for having read it. Avoid.
And just for good measure: the constant popups ordering you to like it on Facebook and sign up for the newsletter are a pain in the arse too.
I dithered between listing this as "hateful or questionable content" or "ethical issues". The Thinking Moms' Revolution is a group blog (including at least one father) by autism parents who loathe autism, loathe autistic self-advocates, and loathe anyone who expresses support for autism acceptance or who rejects the myth that vaccines cause autism. Posts routinely laud pseudoscience or quack treatments for autism.
Just the usual stupid science denial and loony conspiracy theories – idiotic lies, in other words. The problem is that this site aims to increase the amount of infectious disease in the community by scaring people off vaccinating. Best avoided completely.
Virulently anti-vaccine; casts science-based criticism as harassment and bullying. In a stunning example of projection, characterizes pro-vaccine activists as unthinking and dogmatic.
Those doing critical thinking on vaccines are being censored. This site has good info and should not have a bad reputation.
Nasty people making nasty comments about good people doing good work in medicine.
