Is uptodown.com Safe?

DO NOT USE! Got a keylogger and a trojan downloading Geogebra through their site. Found out doing a full scan with windows defender. I guess I'll do a factory reset of my computer and reset all my passwords. I have a masters in computer security and I am fkin embarrassed. DO NOT TRUST THE GOOD REVIEWS!

Just scaned a uptodown APK file (older version whatsapp) and it had 'Android:Fakeapp-PL [Trj]', 'Android.Janus.1' and 'Exp/201713156-A' in it. Don't trust the good reviews. They are probably almost all fake to push the trustworthiness up. So uptodown is a complete bunch of real toxic crap. Shame!

I'm a computer programmer and try software on a test bench before using it on any production hardware. So far I have not found anything added by uptodown ,, there is a lot of crap bundled with apps that you maybe blaming on them. Do a bit of research before you dump on them. Keep up the good work, I like the older versions you have, there is a reasonable amount of hardware that can only handle older versions ,, and this is the place to come..
