Is 8bs.com Safe?

8BS has been around since 1997 and you can certainly tell - it certainly won't be willing any awards for navigability or attractiveness any time soon. It is based around the retro computing scene of the early Eighties, mostly concerning Acorn stuff (the creators of the Atom, BBC Micro and Electron) but with some PlayStation cheats and PC stuff thrown in too. Some of the content is user-contributed, but there is no easy way to do this; you just have to e-mail the author and ask him if he wants to add it. The really amazing thing about the site is that it's all 100% free and there are thousands of free games upon it which you can play with an emulator (which you can also download from the site). Basically it is all a bit like going treasure hunting. You'll find a disc containing something of interest, then you'll have to download it and investigate it to see whether it was actually worth your time.
