Total scam. Usual method of extorting money by telling you there is a problem when there is not.

This site is used for remote control, however, some 'Microsoft Scammers' most often from India, tend to scam you. So they use this software to remote control your computer to show you the 'viruses' you have on the computer

Received a call from ***** (Lyons, NY); stated he was with "Windows Technical Dept" and needed to fix a security problem on my computer. I played along to get info to report to FTC. He asked me to turn on my PC, hit Ctrl + R (opens the command line box), and type in "ammyy.com". (I googled it instead and found the website) He told me to click the download button, which would have installed their software, GIVING HIM REMOTE ACCESS TO MY COMPUTER AND SENSITIVE DATA. Detailed info from Microsoft: ***** You can also search the web for "ammyy scam".

If you have reached this site because someone unfamiliar called you and told you to navigate to this page, you should hang up on them now. This may be a valid product, but it is being used by some very shady scammers who cold-call your home and tell you your computer is sending out signals requiring them to remote access you. They may claim (for instance) to be a company who issued the "license" for your computer. Their goal is to convince you the home user to give them remote access to your computer, steal your information, and then charge you money to install free anti-malware products that do little or no good. I do not know whether ammyy.com is involved in the scam; however, it would not be used this way if it only allowed remote access without compromising your security. And even tho scammers continue to use this product, no conspicuous warning has been added to this site. Based on what little I know, I would say stay away from this company's product.

This site is a safe one, it's a remote control software used by some companys. Unfortunatly, it is being exploited by scam companys to get control over your computer to force you to pay for things and such like that. The site has no sort of protection either, it just straight up allows you to download and control your computer.

This site offers software that allows for REMOTE CONTROL OF YOUR COMPUTER. It (as well as the site as a whole) is reputable and is perfectly safe to use with a technician/friend that you trust to have control over your computer AS IF THEY WERE SITTING IN FRONT OF IT. (I often use it when helping people I know with computer troubles over the phone.) However, if you do not know the person on the other end of the line (and if they call unexpectedly) then do not allow them access via this or any other tool.

This web site provides software which allows remote control of your computer by either legitimate technicians or evil scammers. This site and its software are safe; BUT any unexpected caller who claims he has "detected" a problem on your computer, and wants to gain control of it, is most certainly a scammer.

Ammyy is a legitimate program that is sadly being used by scammers. If you downloaded the Ammyy program from the official website then there shouldn't really be any issues or concern and you can simply uninstall it, but if you got it from some other site then there are 5 or 6 steps to follow, not much.

They direct me to www.ammyy.com to download and install to download and install Ammyy Admin. At that time I stopped playing along because the next step is to give them remote administrative control of my computer.
