From my experience, I don't understand how this ever became a $50 million+ business. Any information we were given could have easily been found by Googling "nursing homes in my area". The worst part is that they will NEVER STOP CALLING you - even after you explain to them that your loved one has passed away.

Got some extremely good information from these people. Great site. If you don't want the emails, don;'t sign up for them or opt out.

In my experience, A Place for Mom only sends email to customers who have contacted them for service. Although they do send a lot of mail, I had never received any from them until after I signed up for information.
