Is bay171.mail.live.com Safe?

I have been with hotmail since 1998 and have experienced all the pros and cons for this site. The site is good, but lacks some of the security and filters that other webmail sites offer. I know most people use hotmail for their JUNK account, so a lot of spam, phishing and scam mail is not reported because people will go months between logins. Just stay vigilant and only check solicited mail and you should have an enjoyable experience. P.S. Sometimes when I am bored I will read some of the mail I get from unsolicited sources. My favorite is when i received this email, :Good day, I want you to read this message very carefully, and keep the secret with you till further notice, You have to know who I am, where am from till I make out a space for us to see, I have being paid $150,000.00 in advance to terminate you with some reasons listed to me by my employers, its someone I believe you call a friend, I have been monitoring you and following you closely for some time now and have seen that you are innocent of the accusation. Do not contact the police or FBI or CIA or any secret agency or try to send a copy of this to them or tell a friend or family or anyone, because if you do I will know, and be pushed to do what I have being paid to do, beside, this is the first time I turned out to be a betrayer in my job. Now, listen, I will arrange for us to see face to face but before that I need the amount of $200,000.00 and you will have nothing to be afraid of. I will be coming to see you in your office or home determine wherever you wish we meet, do not set any camera to cover us or set up any tape to record our conversation, my employer is in my control now.
