They don't give the technical details of the loan, but assuming they give you that rate (they might give you a lower or an even higher rate), and assuming they only work out the interest once a year, it means that if you purchase an item at a cash price of £100, after three years you will have paid more than £200. Probably much more. Also, the cash prices seem to be a little high in the first place, so think very carefully before you purchase from this company - you may be able to get a better deal elsewhere. For example, a three seater corner sofa is listed at a promotional discount with a cash price of roughly £400. I see very similar sofas listed on Amazon without discount for about £100 less. Can you live without a brand new sofa for a year or two? If you can, congratulations, you'll be several hundred pounds better off! If not, try a charity shop, eBay, Freegle, or Craigslist. Or buy one from Amazon and use a credit card. Either way, you'll be out in front.
