Ive used this site many times with no infections. It looks like the site owner has removed most of the interactive features on the site. The potential exists for others to upload malicious content, so scan your downloads thoroughly. There is no need for an .exe to be used in a CAD format and scan formats in .zip files thoroughly, often it is just for multiple files, but you never know. I wouldn't call it child safe as there could be adult nature content uploaded by others.

On site main page: UPDATE: August 1, 2009 4:42 PM For your safety we have eliminated the CAD Tools, Block Managers & LISP sections as someone has uploaded a malicious .EXE file. It looks like the site has taken action to make their site safer. This is good, since there is a lot of useful content on this site.

I have not found any malicious content yet, but I recognize the potential for user content that is not screened to contain crap. Some of the files uploaded are junk, some are very useful. You must be cautious and selective in what you download.
