ciao.co.uk is now owned by / integrated into bing and I love bing and I used to like ciao for price comparisons and reviews, decided to sign up today but peeked at the terms and conditions, seem ok but in data protection / privacy guidelines - it became quite alarming! Whilst it assured against giving away your name, address, DoB, email... plus you have to put your bank details in too as they do not pay via paypal but in privacy they state "By becoming a Ciao member you are giving your consent to receive e-mails which invite you to take part in surveys. You are also giving your consent to the automatic setting up of a personal account for the credits earned for participating in surveys." the problem is not many read the small print and this was not on the main terms and conditions page but a subpage of it and therefore not easy to spot. People need to be able to see this clearly as some are getting upset (even at Site Advisor) as they are receiving surveys via email even though they have now left. In short it is said but not clearly enough nor easily found. "
