Is conduit.com Safe?

Bad, bad, bad. The file has been seen being downloaded from storage.conduit.com. While running, it connects to the Internet address ***** on port 80 using the HTTP protocol." I am getting really tired of removing this POS adware from peoples machines. If I was getting some kind of a commission per seat, would not be so bad. It is a browser redirect tool that installs without users knowledge. Easy to clean up once you know it's there.

CONDUIT is malware. It is a trojan platform to push other malware and spyware onto your system (like toolbars, taking over your homepage and search engine, redirecting your searches to their spam, drive-by downloads, hidden installations, etc.) Use a trusted anti-malware scanner (preferably more than one) to get all of it off of your computers as soon as you discover you have been infected. After removing it, you will likely have to reset all your browser's homepages and default search engines manually. This malware tries to hide some pieces from uninstallation and leaves bits behind that will re-install later if you do not clean them out completely. DANGEROUS! Any company or organization that pretends CONDUIT is not malware is de facto suspicious (or completely uninformed and should not be trusted as a reliable source of info). WOT has been the target of CONDUIT bots up-voting this source of malware to fool the unwary. This is the ONLY reason this site is not dark red on WOT right now. (2014-09-04)
