This is an excellent land trust--fully accredited by the the Land Trust Alliance! It assists private land owners to preserve their land voluntarily via conservation easements so that future generations can enjoy it. It is very careful with contributors donations and functions primarily by the hard work by volunteers (such as me).

Vertical Response is a legitimate mailing list service provider - they just send out the messages to the email addresses that their customers put in & they even allow non-profits to use their service for free. The spamming comes from their customers, not them. If there's any complaint about VR to be made, it's probably that they don't do enough to vet their customers to ween out the spammers. If you file an abuse report with them, though, they will take action against the spammers. Instead of complaining about VR here, file abuse reports with them so they will terminate the spammers' accounts!

The Dharmachakra Buddhist Center in Millburn, NJ has been extremely helpful to me. Particularly, their many meditation classes and excellent teachings. Although these need to be taught in a Buddhist context because their origins are in Buddhism, there is absolutely no pressure to accept Buddhism and/or to abandon any other religious beliefs you may have.

Do not install software from this company! This company utilizes what I would consider Trapware - drive-by installs of their other programs that directly interfere with the normal operations of your system. Buy the crapware or suffer the consequences. This behavior, and the extreme registration policy, makes the software impossible to recommend. LOOK ELSEWHERE. TROJAN!

Some of the few E-mails that get through my spam filter come from their mail domain. Either they or somebody else created an account for me. I didn't opt-in to anything, I didn't sign up for anything. The spam just started rolling in. I hope they pay attention to my unsubscribe request.
