Is curezone.com Safe?

The WOT form says, "Leave a comment to describe your experience with this site." Better yet, I will leave a comment to describe my experience with WOT. WOT is a great service, but their opinion on medical subjects is that "only the doctors can manage your medical condition, don't go to the internet for medical information, and certainly DON'T give a looksee at anything alternative." This of course is completely contrary to the latest idea that -- at least to reduce costs -- for the country and the individual -- we should all take a strong hand in managing our own medical well being. Regardless that new things are coming to light all the time that conventional medicine doesn't know about (yet), and regardless that tens of thousands of people have been helped by therapies that convention medicine doesn't know about (yet), and regardless that conventional medicine is terribly influenced and blinded by the big-pharmaceutical industry to the detriment and deaths of many people, WOT insists that any website involved with "regular people" sharing their medical experiences, failures, and successes should be categorized with phishing and scam sites. There's nothing fantastic about curezone. It's just another website where people can talk about their individual medical situations, and see if anybody has previously walked in their shoes. We all can be critical in the advice we see, perhaps google for corroborating evidence, etc., and decide whether or not we want to accept what we read, and to what extent. This would be a process that utilizes our own individual levels of intelligence. But personally, I find it to be a net loss for everyone that all these do-it-yourself medical sites get the big Red swipe from WOT. Better to assist in the free exchange of new ideas than try to impede it.

I have used the CureZone site for years and have not only never had any phishing/tracking issues, the site is user-driven, so claims are constantly under scrutiny with counter-postings, and are also rated by users as to utility. A typical posting would be an invitation to comment on a scientific study. Is that not allowed in the old-school medical community where patients are discouraged from questioning Dr. God? The whole person is considered with interests of a religious nature allowed to post. There are degreed professionals including M.D.'s who post at CureZone. Dr. Oz-type alternative medicine draws truly virulent reactions as the old order passes away. Do not compound the suffering by rating any part of this site as anything less than a green for GO!

This showed up on Google as an Untrustworthy site, but I clicked anyways to see what the fuss was about. At a cursory glance, I can tell you there is nothing on this page that will harm your computer or your wallet. The fuss is apparently because the websites advocates holistic health with "alternative" remedies. instead of mainstream medicine. Guys, the world existed and had its own cures and medicines before pills were invented. Try to keep an open mind and remember that it is the individual's responsibility to ensure his/her own health. Whether that means putting it into the hands of a mainstream doctor or educating yourself and experimenting with your own methods and practices is up to you. Do not discriminate against others just because they look at their bodies in a different way than you do. While I do not know much about alternative medicine here, what I do very much like is that it brings together people who actually have experience with using using the discussed methods and medicines. This gives you a host of data to gauge whether or not it could benefit your body, which I think is far more reliable and trustworthy over mainstream medicine, which is run as a business and relies heavily on the influence of money.

I find the low rating for this site to be the product of a simple knee jerk reaction to alternative medicine. Yes modern medicine is awesome but it is not without its bs politics and greed. Funding for alternative medicinal research is harder to come by because big pharma can't always patent these remedies. This is where the lack of scientific knowledge comes from. The lack of research does not mean that the medicine is bunk - it simply means we don't have all the concrete information. What we do have is a historical backing for these medicines. People have been curing themselves for a very long time! Stop throwing out the baby with the bath water with your dogmatic views on the "alternative" and giving this site a very undeserved low rating.

I have a strong background in conventional medicine (degree in Bacteriology from Berkeley and 20 years planning cancer patients treatments using radiation) so I am very critical of everything to do with medicine. This site rocks. You can find the pros and cons of many alternative and conventional treatments. There are experts in the field or doctors on some of the topics that will answer your questions on specific topics but most is from actual real people and their experiences. Many alternative treatments you find on this site were part of the medical establishment before big business took over the medical field. Many of the alternative treatments are used and integrated in the conventional medical field in other western countries but are unfamiliar to those using conventional medicine only and therefore seem strange to many. One example is the coffee enema which was part of the Physicians Desk Reference before the 1970's but was removed to make room for other treatments. The llver/gallbladder flush referenced below is still popular and it actually works if done correctly. If you have a chronic illness alternative medicine is safer; if you have a critical severe situation then go for the conventional quick fix. In many cases both alternative and conventional will work well together for a better result.

This site contains pseudo-scientific views, as well as other low reliability "alternative medicines," since modern medicine and medications are supposedly not working for them. Although this website contains a lot of hateful, radical, and questionable content, I have to say, from an unbiased viewpoint, that this website is SAFE. No privacy issues, just ethical ones.

Promotes potentially dangerous psuedoscience, such as liver/colon/gallbladder cleanses and fasts, and demonizes conventional medicine. This site may persuade people into dubious "self-help" regimens, which can be especially deadly if they have a serious disease.

Seems to me the issues are that it doesn't make money for big pharmaceutical companies. Regarding scientific merit Ha ha ha!! How much information is scientifically manipulated!! Just take a look at how Monsanto gets their Genetically manipulated stuff officially accepted as being healthy by getting; their investigators onto the FDA to approve produce KNOWING damn well that it is NOT HEALTHY!! Books have been published on how good lemons are for our health!!
