I started receiving emails on a private email address.

Got a call on my cell four days ago. Caller ID Said 'DUN&BRADSTREET'. Did not answer. Just now Googled my cell# and the third hit from the top is my wife's and my name on their site: dandb.com. We are listed as a business founded in 2009, and there is a shell of uncompleted statistics about our 'business' (WHICH DOES NOT EXIST), plus a 360 degree animated image (Google Street View?) of our downtown area. IF THEY CALL YOU, GOOGLE YOUR # to see if YOU have become one of their affiliates!!

I didn't download the attachment to virus scan it but since the email didn't contain any details of the "complaint" across my company but rather encouraged me to open the zip file to print the complaint I suspect it. Also dandb.com is not the same as ***** - know which one you want.

They buy huge lists of cold contacts from a crank company, and then post your data on their site without ever contacting you directly. When you ask them to change or remove a listing that includes your *personal* (not business) data, it takes over 2 years, 50 emails, and 20 phonecalls for them to finally change it. And even then, you have to double-check them, because it might be still included on one of their affiliated sites. Every employee blames someone else, and every department claims it's another department's responsibility. From my experience, you can trust neither their word nor the accuracy of their listings.
