Security companies that do take the time to properly evaluate our software and business practices repeatedly determine that our products are safe and do not constitute spyware or adware. Such companies include, but are not limited to leading on-line security companies such as Microsoft, Symantec, McAfee, Trend, AVG, Avira, and many others. Many of our properties have also attained both the VeriSign Trust Seal and a McAfee SECURE certification.
Unfortunately, however, there is erroneous information that exists on the Internet that can give the wrong impression of our products. This has caused even legitimate security companies to incorrectly misclassify our products as malicious on occasion (and, on rare occasions, temporarily flag such products). We work directly with the major security vendors to prevent these “false positives” from occurring, and to quickly correct the misclassifications when they arise.
