I am not really sure how I can adress the fact that Blueberry Mountain and whomever does not understand how software works. Digital defender has two versions - a free and a professional. The free has some limitations that the pro does not. There is no attempt made to push the user to pay. The free version does not remove infections on external discs, the pro version does. If you feel that is phishing. Then please go ahead and use some other software.

There is nothing said about pay to remove.
Below the text there is a direct download link. A normal user probably wouldn´t find any hints of required further payments

Kraftwerk as mentioned previously. No you do not have to pay to remove. However the free version does not work with external devices.
With regards to Blueberry mountain's comment.The free version of digital defender is free. However it does have limitations to it. These are clearly posted on our website in comparison table between free and pro.
