Can be useful, but visitors (or users) must also exercise caution prior to installing any of the software downloaded because not all of the software are reviewed/previewed well, and sometimes the review information can be misleading.

Great download resource, though ads can sometimes be suspect, and I doubt each program is individually checked. Mostly safe, but maintain a low level of caution.

Site promises all downloads are safe and trusted by CNET. But yet, many of the things downloaded are detected as malware by known virus scanners and malware scanners such as A-Squared, AVG 8, Avast, McAfee, Symantec, and Bitdefender.

For a site that says that it is spyware and virus free, I have had several installs in the past two months that begs to differ. Must be careful, on downloads from unknown companies.
