________________ ***** Update I'm impressed. This company has maintained its aim of providing lesson-planning resources for teachers, its technical safety is excellent, and I see no further redundant ads. ________________ ***** Original This new web site claims an altruistic goal of providing lesson-planning resources for teachers. It is currently technically safe to visit, however it has a curious web presence: Several posts in other people's blogs and e-mails by this organization display a repeating theme: - introduction - citing an outdated link on the recipient's web site - request to contribute resource information - request to post recommended links - request for donations

This site, although new, is receiving good press. It seems to link to unbiased resources related to a variety of topics of interest to educators, parents, children, and citizens. I can't find a 501(c)(3) certification at the IRS, but it is staffed, at least mainly, by volunteers trying to create an online reference point with a list of links to good material on other sites. I agree with the other rater, that their unsolicited email, suggesting other (good) sites as a resource and asking for other links is rather unusual, if not outright suspicious, but it all SEEMS okay enough for me to rate the site positively.
