Is elearnaid.com Safe?

Unlike most commenters, I didn't purchase books or educational resources from this vendor. I was on the other side of his business, deep cycle batteries for hybrid vehicles. I bought the yellow top Optima battery for my Prius and saved HUNDREDS off the dealer's price and that of local shops. On top of that shipping was FREE. Even better, they included directions with photos that made installation a snap (installing a 12V in a Prius is quite a bit different than doing a traditional car). Customer service & communication were excellent! I have recommended this vendor to friends and family with Priuses and would definitely purchase from them again.

I have ordered from this site for about 10 years. I have never experience anything but excellent and fast service. I have sent others to this site and everyone I sent had a good experience as well. I especially like the wide variety of dictionaries and the good explanations and recommendations this site provides. I will order from this site again.

I work for Bernie Littman and know that he is conscientious about his customer service and passionate about his products. I often hear him on the phone working with a customer to make sure they get a product that would best suit their needs when they call with questions.

I've been using the on-line version of the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) for years, which I originally ordered from elearnaid in 2002 and subsequently upgraded to the Vista version in 2007. I've always been entirely satisfied with their their prompt and helpful service. Never had any problems with spam or viruses. The negative comments seem to relate to the the Website owners' supposed affiliation with Scientology. I have no interest in Scientology and I fail to see what that has to do with this Website's reliability. What relevance has the fact that one individual feels that his family got scammed by Scientology (2/20/09: "I got scammed") , or that another individual believes that it's "unreliable" for a bookseller to sell books about Scientology (12/11/09: "Etnisch fragwürdig")? While these are legitimate personal and ideological viewpoints, they have nothing to do with this Website's reliability!

the negative ratings here have nothing to do with the site and everything to do with a coordinated attack on Scientology. Gross misuse of a great tool (WOT) to mislead folks. The books featured are based on L. Ron Hubbard's research into the field of study and they are damn good resources for learning how to learn or helping others learn. No religious stuff, just what they claim, simple and effective study technology.

eLearnAid®: has one of the largest collections of dictionaries on CD to help you look up words fast. They also have a growing collection of dictionaries printed on paper. Their dictionaries range from Children's to Unabridged including the Oxford English Dictionary (OED). Site is hosted on Yahoo! sand uses Yahoo!'s store system for safe and confident purchases.

I have used this site a few years ago and their product was exactly as advertised. I used it again recently and even spoke with the owner. He proved himself to be honest, hard working, and generous in his help for my problems. He not only discussed his worthy product, but commented on others available as competitors. His insights were correct, accurate and fair. I cannot understand why my WOT plug-in seemed to rate his site as having a poor reputation. Honest web people are worthy catch for those that find them and this owner strikes me as one to be valued. Rich

I am the owner of this site. We have been in business for almost 10 years and have thousands of happy customers. We have an A + (the highest they give) rating with the Better Business Bureau. We have also been verified as a bond-able site by BuySafe and they will bond any purchase. The site software and servers are maintained by Yahoo! We don't even sell books that recommend Niacin (a B Vitamin) or Sauna! Although, I have found both to be beneficial! We do sell dictionaries and promote the idea that dictionaries should be used for understanding and competence! We also promote tutors and schools that encourage children to use dictionaries and understand what they are studying so they can be responsible and happy citizens!
