Is freewebs.com Safe?

I used to have a website with them long ago (I've since lost the password and e-mail to it) back before the domain changed to webs.com. I found my old website, and it seems that some of the old widgets have become infected with malware! That means any old site that still has the freewebs domain could potentially be infected. I would stay away from any freewebs domain.

I've had my site on freewebs.com for years. No malware or viruses have been reported to me since I've been working on it over the last couple of years. I think it depends on what one is looking for on freewebs. Doesn't seem to have a scanning - the - client - protocol to keep out spammers. That is all I have to say on that matter. Take care.
