Is frostwire.com Safe?

No different from LimeWire back in the day, this P2P remains plagued with unwanted malware and spyware from downloads. If you do not have a strong internet security program to guard your computer or mobile device against FrostWire's hidden threats, DO NOT USE IT!

Don't use Frostwire. Just don't. The potential for contracting a virus or malware on your computer is outstanding. Think about it, you are trusting another person to share a file with you straight from their computer to yours. Does that really sound like a good idea? Plus, it is mainly only used to download music and games for free, which is illegal. While I don't necessarily care about the legality of file sharing, it is still something to be careful about and keep in mind. It is not a safe site for kids either. People can share any files that they want to, meaning that your kid could fill your computer up with smut and porn. Plus, most kids don't have discretion when downloading things to a computer because they don't understand the dangers of viruses and malware. Please just don't use this website.

Frostwire is a p2p sharing site. This might be potentially illegal. For some reason, while I was browsing one site, I was redirected to a Frostwire download page. I closed the tab, thinking I had evaded the virus. However, Malwarebytes found it lurking in my registry. Stay away.

My dad had downloaded this on my brand new computer, saying that he wanted to use it for music on his Mp3 player. Yet, a couple of days later I realized it was the EXACT same thing as Limewire, which I do not trust. I complained about it, but he told me it was going to be fine. About a month later, I did a scan on my ( new ) computer, and found more than a hundred malware, toolbars, and trojans. I deleted all of them, using Malwarebytes and Norton. After 3 months later, these weird toolbars and adware kept showing up on my computer, without my installing anything. I soon got rid of Frostwire, and all of it stopped. Frostwire downloads PUPs without you noticing. Do not download!

FrostWire is essentially a continuation of LimeWire. It is a P2P program, which, technically, by itself, is legal. However, there are many users who do illegal things using FrostWire, making it extremely unsuitable for children, as they may violate the DMCA.

This is a very good P2P App. Don't use this for illegal downloads so keep childs AWAY from this site or else they may be in jail for illegal actions. This is free by the way. Any one who paid for this needs to do something about the owner of the fake site. This has some Open Candy installations, but there are all safe like the Comodo Dragon browser.

Much of these Peer to peer (P2P) media sharing websites are hosts to illegal and usually dangerous downloads. Not only is this against the law in many aspects, the downloads may be disguised as trojan horses, keyloggers, trackware and other malicious software. Donwloading any media file from this website puts you and your computer at risk. Browse with caution.

Frostwire is a very useful P2P program and an excellent alternative to Limewire. I recommend you use it if you are going to use a P2P program, but here is the thing with P2P Programs: Almost all P2P Programs, if not all P2P programs, contain adult content. Depending on the P2P program you are using, you might have to search for the content to see it. But with some P2P programs, the servers and downloads can include viruses and adult content that is definitely NOT suitable for children.
