This site is good, but there are some people, who claim they tend to overcharge and try to trick you into their plan. Just be suspicious.

Geek Squad has quite a bad reputation. A news reported even did something on this. They took a perfectly working computer, unplugged the hard drive, and took it to several computer repair places. Most got it right in just seconds, but Geek Squad said there was many problems with it and it would cost $700 to fix (I think). It looks like they recently changed their do-it-yourself virus/spyware removal from Symantec(/Norton) to Webroot, which is an improvement. If you have problems with viruses, spyware, malware, any of that, I can help for a lot cheaper and more effective. Just contact me on Facebook. I am able to do it remotely as well.

A news reporter took a "broken" computer to two Geek Squad locations. One said the hard drive was dead, the other said it was the motherboard. The problem? A hard drive cable was loosened and could be fixed in minutes. According to the news reporter, the Geek Squad people never even opened the computer.

Not so reliable PC tips, my friend try to contact them and visited their site and his PC only became worst.

Their web "tracking" system for repairs rarely works, so I am left in the dark as to where my property is. Their timeliness is horrid, they don't answer their phone, they break computers, and they SHORT out your computer by using the WRONG batteries and chargers. They deny the damage and leave you with a LEMON product.

Found information on site to be helpful. The ppl however could stand to take customer service training. They can be rude and very condescending.

geek squad isn't a reliable source for computer repairs. the techs are underpaid, overworked and quality of their work is overlooked. they place much more emphasis on quantity over quality. support your local computer businesses rather than these scoundrels.

Geeksquad.Com download tool is very useful for finding up to date firmware, drivers, software updates, and hardware updates. The scanning tools are from reputable vendors free to use. The scans will take a while because they are indepth tools.
