A part of the Geotool add-on for Firefox. Whenever clicking on the add-on flag icon near the URL box the site opens up, showing the location of that website on a Google Map.
Very safe, and very useful.

This application shows a country flag in the URL bar showing where site is. When you click on the flag, a Google map pops up showing the physical location of the site provider. You can then zoom, change the view to map/terrain/satellite etc. Fun, informative, and can be very useful.
