Is hanger.com Safe?

Hanger -- the worst in town, said the doctors! My podiatrist ordered custom-made shoes to fit my wife's unusual size, & diabetes and other foot problems. First pair, not custom, fit her narrow heel but not the rest of her foot. Waited 2 months for second pair -- fit the front of her foot for width, but too wide for heel. Doctor prescribed custom orthotics, which we had, but every time they measured her feet without the orthotics, so the shoes didn't have enough room in them to use the orthotics. Finally "the boss" said they would really make the next pair custom-made and right. They took molds of her feet, sent them off to be made, two months later they arrived, too short. Her big toe, the most painful, was touching the front of the shoe at all times. She showed the shoes to the doctor, who said they didn't look like custom made, looked cheap and poor quality. The whole ordeal took about 8 months, and was very painful. The doctor says he may have to remove the nail to ease the pain and let the toe heal. At the beginning, the podiatrist warned us that Hanger was the worst in town, but they were the only one our insurance would authorize. Now we're going to a recommended place, with or without the insurance.
