Is home.mcafee.com Safe?

This is the fourth time I am trying to write my thoughts on your website. Actually, it is the fifth time because every time I start to type, it all disappears and have to start all over again. At the onset, I was adding all my credit information, and I thought I had completed it. I have spent over two hours trying to make sense of what was happening. I found it extremely difficult to get around the site. As I mentioned, there is a lot more for me to say. As I was putting in my personal information, credit cards, etc., and toward the end of it, it would take me to another page and could not resume adding more. I know there was a limit of 10 cards. I had one more to put in it would always go a different page. It was very difficult to find where I could continue. I tried contacting customer support and brought me to a blank screen. I tried several times again, with the same result. Believe me, it is not my computer. Then I tried to go to the blog, and it showed that it was pending. Lastly, when I tried to download the apps, all it would do is to go to a page with a big arrow clicking on s series of icons. Five minutes went by, and it was still doing it. I am verry frustrated about the working of your website and I just gave up. I cannot even contact support and it brought me to your company address with no telephone number. How could all this happen? Here, I am trying to be a customer of yours but failed miserably. Like I said, I would never give a very poor report to anyone but in this case, I had to. I think there is something very flaky going on.

It is very easy to install McAfee Security Scan Plus without being aware of when updating Adobe's free software, like Flash Player or Reader. There is a little checkbox (already ticked) asking for permission to install it, with a huge "Install Flash Player" button besides. That's a clear bad practise, used by adware distributors. Adobe does it, and McAfee (as their partner) allows it.

Mcafee is usually bundled with adobe and it is always checked on so be careful to not download it, it's a crappy antivirus and is more like a virus than anything and gives you false positives. Uninstall this and download an actual antivirus and malware remover like malwarebytes it's worth the money and better than this garbage.

ALERT: You computer is being attacked! If you have had McAfee on your computer for around 3 or 2 years and had not tried any new antiviruses, uninstall this and use AVG or any other good antivirus. This program couldn't find anything. A phew days after trying avast!, my PC Optimizer has said it needs to be bought to fix 49 security threats. Thanks to avast! and AVG, they managed to take away a lot of them and the number of threats had reduced to 19 threats in total. McAfee is a BAD antivirus and has a very weak detection rate. There's no quarantine area! I was wonder "What kind of antivirus is this?" when I compared it to avast! and AVG. If you still use McAfee, download the free version of avast! or AVG. If you can buy one of them. Because this is really bad.
