This site is annoying to view; unblockable popups with video, spotty leade writing to entice rather than inform. Users might be inclined to go elsewhere for a better news experience.

The site is extremely aggressive with advertising pop-overs and video playback which slows the page performance drastically. It also uses trackers. The news carried within has been rated as high on the work put into researching the story and middle-of-the-road on political bias according to mediabiasfactcheck. Snopes has used it for fact checking.. It uses few emotionally loaded words in word analysis. They have a staff of reporters and are not just aggregates of other news organizations reports. It has 10 national editions (10 different web portals) printed in 7 languages. Their portals receive over 40 million unique visitors per month. Left leaning, Mother Jones and Media Matters for America have criticized various labor and editorial practices prior to 2015. With the hiring of John Crowley (ex-WSJ editor chief) in 2016, IBTimes has been cited by Bloomberg, the BBC and others as source material. Use uBlock Origin or other product if worried bout the tracking and popups Making money off of a web portal has trade-offs. Personally, they seem to have improved a great deal under new management and I'll use them as a source now but the huge pop-over adverts are freaking annoying as is the automatic replay of videos no matter how many times you close it!. uBlock Origin needed customization to deter this behavior.

Automatically started playing a video, then promptly crashed my browser. I will not return to this site.

This IB 'news' site is very biased. It follows its own idea of politically correct language in support of people or ideas it promotes. When it 'reports' on a news event, it slants the report toward its own agenda. I am not sure who is in control of this site, but it is basically propaganda. It is an example of what is being called 'post-truth.' For example, someone who sneaks into a country illegally is not an illegal immigrant. They could be a refugee, a terrorist, a drug smuggler, or a fugitive. Showing poor children in an American school is supposed to raise sympathy for the millions of people who are in the United States illegally.

Content farm, no original material. Just search engine optimized articles for ad revenue.

This is a good resource for news but content can be violent and children should be supervised.

Ads everywhere, annoying automatic video player ads, no integrity in speculation, not even good speculation.
3
Crap website, i find this suspicious because when ever i open a page from this site my other sites in my tabs freeze till this page finishes loading and keeps auto refreshing!
5
Multiple active cookies. Auto play video/audio with moving mute, when muted, it simply finished that video and begins the next with the audio un-muted again but the mute button is moved causing an unintended opening of the advertised website... Click count fraud for those who are advertising - if you are paying of your ad on a per click basis, I just clicked on 3 ads accidentally while trying to mute yet ANOTHER video in the same box that I had previously muted. Very annoying.

1. popups 2. breaks SSL 3. automatically plays audio files
3
A business-oriented site should not automatically have sound like this site does. Stay away if you're browsing at work, or if you're the sort of person who just doesn't want to hear unrelated videos.

Starts playing video with sound right away !

They have got tracking cookies on the website, invading users' privacy!
1
Many popups and ads.
2
lots of privacy scripts running. What is ***** ? Webtrends Live? ***** ? not privacy oriented.
1
High amount of 3ed-party HTTP requests (advertising / user tracking related) not to mention excessive disk-write from all the cookies, well after the "page loads" I came to read 1 article which it's title had little to do with the article content, a bit biased IMO.
4
Site redirected me to ad site that had a bad rating.
2
5 JavaScript web bugs for tracking/advertising companies (per NoScript). Good privacy? Trustworthy? See *****
