Is inbox.com Safe?

1. I was suspicous based upon the speed at which it told me to download their button. 2. The language they use is very similar to other sites that use questionable behavior. 3. I viewed the reviews of the others and read their comments. 9 were positive/trust, 10 were negative/do not trust, and 5 were haven't read but all but one of these had negative comments to say about it. I question how a site can be rated a good site by WOT when there are more negatives than positives and even the uncommitted were negative but one. 4. I admit that I did not fully install this app because based upon what I read of other's experiences, I did not want to risk my computer. 5. I also don't believe that we should be teaching our children to believe everything they read on the internet without question.

Inbox is a Spider. Clicked on it as a free sheet music program. Downloaded file I wanted, it has replaced Google as my search engine on Firefox and entered my hard drive illegally in several places, click on the file it says <error in microsoft Jscript>. If I install it to get the file I also install Inbox Music Toolbar. Tried to uninstall Inbox but it's put a script in every single file I've downloaded from Firefox over the last 10 years. Uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled, still get Inbox. Firefox gives this thing a green rating, I will NEVER use Firefox again as a search engine

Using Yahoo Search "Outlook Mail Login" the search's first listing was (Actual copy from web page START "Check Your Outlook® Mail | ***** Access Your Outlook® Mail Faster W/ Instant Notifications! Install Free ***** STOP ***** was in GREEN i.e. THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE THE ACTUAL WEBSITE I AM BEING DIRECTED TO. IT WAS NOT THE WEB SITE. I was NOT directed there I was directed TO: (actual address copied from browser) START "http://www2.inbox.com/lp/lpu.aspx?tbid=80929&c=EmailNotifierPnew_MSN2&p=Outlook[R]&k=outlook%20mail%20login&b=MSN_XT_msct1_80929_28_06_00_*GeoUSCA*_-Search-__outlook%20mail%20login&s=msct1&utm_source=msn&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=outlook%20mail%20login&utm_campaign=msct1-28-80929" STOP This may be more a complaint on the search engine. My PERSONAL outlook account has been compromised--ON MY COMPUTER AND TABLET ALL EMAIL RECORDS WERE ERASED. ON linkage access points, NOT DIRECT ACCESS PORTAL, when I log into them, I'm give the same false results IMAGE--the total erasing of all mail prior to a 'critical event" less than a week ago. Only a direct linkage provides be full uncorrupted emails since the time I opened the account. (P.S. In good faith I believe I have reported this correctly. It is being misdirected--by not taking me to the web site it claimed I was being going to that is at the heart of my complaint. It was the first listing--and SPONSORED. I am assuming this, the site I was redirected to paid for the Sponsored ad--but maybe they didn't. But it is a reasonable assumption to think the false, misleading link was paid by the site I ended up on.

While I'm happy with my original email address from this site I have not been able to create secondary accounts without needing to download their toolbar. I agree with boltonianrose, use caution. Also, all I use is the email so I can't comment on the other features.
