Is inspectlet.com Safe?

Listed on HP Hosts as Ad Tracker (http://hosts-file.net/default.asp?s=inspectlet.com refers). Otherwise no adverse comments about this site from any of the major security site checking scanners. Rated cautious green in the absence of any adverse data about this site.

This site provides code that will track personally identifiable, sensitive data and share it with business partners for profit. It does this by LITERALLY RECORDING VIDEO OF WHAT ITS VISITORS DO after trying to FINGERPRINT them so that they can still be personally identified if they delete cookies or take other steps. I just read their "privacy policy" statement. The policy apparently is that there is none by default, for any visitor on any site that links to their code. This is not apparent to users just by visiting and using the site, or even upon reading the small warning that must be appended to a site's privacy policy. It is most likely users do not know that these sites are all tracking and collecting sensitive, personally identifyable data. From my understanding, they state that by visiting any website that uses their code, the user has agreed to this, and that the personal data collected on them may not be safe from hackers and others, because they aren't to be held responsible for keeping it protected and secure once it is obtained from the user (likely without your knowledge).

Their website describes the service thusly: "Watch individual visitors use your site as if you're looking over their shoulders. Inspectlet records videos of your visitors as they use your site, allowing you to see everything they do. See every mouse movement, scroll, click, and keypress on your site. You never need to wonder how visitors are using your site again. " and " Identify individual users. With one line of code you can tell Inspectlet which user is being recorded so that later you can find users with a specific email address or ID. "
