Originally posted March 2013; further information added December 2014, and updated March 2016: jobfox.com sends job notification emails that have ***** unsubscribe links, and job links that redirect to ***** See: ***** (green) ***** (orange) OTHER: I found no mention on the jobfox.com website of what domain name email forwarding would come from or what email links would be contained in the emails ("zipalerts.com" or redirects to "ziprecruiter.com"). OTHER: Running on the Amazon / ***** network, which continuously sustains IP addresses rated up to "very high" amounts of spam during a 30 day period. http://bgp.he.net/dns/jobfox.com#_ipinfo (zipalerts.com running on the Amazon network) *****

User KateDi is right - don't register. Tons of email for paid services with shitty, spam-like subjects like "you're hired!". The "free" resume check could not be more automated and lame. F-

This site is a blatant scam. What they do is first they take your resume and scan it for any qualifications that you have and compare it to the jobs on their site. This in of itself is a pretty good idea. Then, they get you to sign up for their site. They have two versions: a basic one which is free and a "premium" one which overcharges you to use their service. After that, they offer a free resume reading but all this amounts to is sending you a form letter where they give you vague critiques and then believe you should pay them about 500 bucks for them to look at your resume. Don't use this "service". Instead go to your local library, your college hiring office, or even downtown to your local labor office. They'll help you and they won't charge you for it.

***** often lists openings that have expired and no longer are available. I always go to the web site of the potential employer to verify that the job is still posted/open or not. Usually it is not. DON'T TRUST JOBFOX.COM!

Whatever you do, DO NOT register! They will email you relentlessly even after you unsubscribe from their emails and or website. You can request they quit over and over, they say they will, and they don't.
