I started using KeePass about several years ago. Well, I don't remember having serious security problems while using it. Just don't forget to update it regularly and you'll be OK.

Official site for KeePass. KeePass is an open source password manager. I have good belief that this software is legitimate and is not stealing your info (especially since it is open source. You can check the code yourself if you have the knowledge). The site has advertisements (that, luckily, do not attempt to annoy the user), but they have to keep the lights on somehow
