KLFY-TV, channel 10, is the CBS-affiliated television station in Lafayette, Louisiana. Broadcasting on TV RF channel 10 (virtual channel DTV 10.x), its transmitter is located north of Rayne, Louisiana. It's original 1800 foot tower, one of the tallest in the south for many years in the 1960s-1980, was located just north of Crowley, Louisiana near the small tower of Maxie. The original tower was shorted to 1100 feet in the late 2000s due to mechanical issues. The station is owned by Media General and is the oldest television station in the Lafayette area.
