Is klout.com Safe?

Klout is a social influence score, measuring how much reach you have over the Internet and how much you interact with your audience. It also provides a content discovery service, URL shortener, and post scheduler. It is very helpful to figure out how to increase your influence on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more. My score is 44 at time of writing ;)

Klout is a website which claims to measure your influence based on your social network accounts. It is pretty obvious to me that if you decide to enter there with one of your accounts you will also sign up to Klout. I cannot say whether it is reliable or not regarding the calculating of the influence, but I can say that it is as reliable as it claims. You can change your settings in order not to be spammed (I haven't got any email from them).

Klout is just another site trying to jump on the back of the social media boom. I already have a log in, and started with loads of 'klout', then it started dropping so they could get me to do more. I don't care about klout! It means literally NOTHING

Facebook bias. The algorithm is written terribly beyond measure. And many logos are not updated for years, such as the Google+ one. No offense, the maintainers are retard. They spam, too. Idiotic.

The apps access to your twitter account is limited. It can only only see your followers and read your timeline but the site is continuously telling me to register my account although I am already registered there.

Once you sign up, it continually sends Spam email, under the guise that there are "notifications." There are not. It simply is trying to get you to click the site, and have it send another Tweet to Twitter in your name. It also tells you your score has increased in the last X days, despite the fact that it has not. AVOID THIS SITE.
