US.Propaganda, excuse for going to Uganda. Joseph Kony died 5 years ago.. Ugandan girl: *****

Do your research. Kony 2012 is a scam.

Site is safe but Invisible Children and the purpose of the cause is questionable.

Site is safe, but i question the methods of this program. Bringing US forces to a country often means it's about to get rid of it's natural treasures like gold, diamonds, oil and so forth. Fighting for peace is a contradiction in itself, and fighting the "bad guys" like the top criminals as if they were the only ones on this planet, seems a little naive. I prefer giving money to Amnesty International, Helvetas and other organizations which know what their influence means for the future after the success. And: I think a bracelet does not change anything, it's not even a symbol, it's just a product you pay for. *****

Propaganda. They lead people to believe Kony is still a big threat, while in reality he hasn't been in years. Meanwhile, the Ugandan government continues human rights abuses. A large portion of donations simply goes into the pockets of the people running this scam.

The Joseph Kony 2012 movement has been the most confusing thing I've heard this year so far. I started out watching this video, hearing friends on Facebook, and going "hmm, this guy should be stopped. STOP KONY 2012!" Then I started researching. And that's when confusion hit. Some people say he's dead (and some of these say it was reported so on the news). Others say he's alive and kicking. The video claims that he has been hiding since 2006. But what if that's not true? And then, either way, there's a bunch of Ugandians that didn't like the Kony 2012 video. And then Invisible Children wants you to donate. Then I see people at school talking about how they ordered an action pack. And then I order an action pack. Then everyone starts saying that Kony is dead and they take down all of their Kony 2012 stuff. And I'm just sitting here, wondering what side I should take. I feel like Rebecca Black in an empty football stadium.
