not very good gaming site. shady methods.

Kotaku is a biased "gaming" site that mainly focuses on leftist ideals to extremists ideals on video games. "Writers" that "represent" the general population of gamers are "neutral" in terms of their articles and called out the US Military for being "Whiny Cowards"... Would not trust the news or any other means coming from this cesspool of a unreliable source for gaming news whatsoever

Although it is reliable when it comes to opinions and news, the article "Indie Boss Battler Furi Is The Wrong Kind Of Hard" made me laugh so hard I fell out of my chair. No really, stop whining please it's not hard it and is a boss-rush game you need to practice to get better. You don't want a game that you can complete in like 3 hours.

Reviewers are allegedly bribed by video game companies to give a good review on a potential worse game of the year. Be skeptical, friends.

I don't trust Kotaku because it has committed several violations of journalistic ethics in which the authors of several articles have failed to disclose personal relationships with subjects for their articles. It can be unsafe for children because it publishes articles about sexual situations in video games, but it does tag them as NSFW. More info: *****

Kotaku is not suitable for children. I have a great deal I'd like to write about Kotaku, but I'm absolutely shocked to see it's WOT Rating as suitable for children. Do you people even review the sites you rate? Kotaku click-baits with adult content. It's has a misleading practice that has cost it several reputable advertisers while attacking it's consumer database. The totality of Gawker Media links to each sister site in order to validate it's reliability & misinform users. This is the same organization that is being sued because they refused to take down a pornographic sex video starring wrestler Hulk Hogan & the wife of a fellow wrestler.

A so-called gaming site that dedicates approximately half of its articles to promoting hatred against Caucasian people, and the other half to undisclosed "native advertising" - articles written by advertisers promoting products, which are presented as if they were written by the "journalists" of the site itself. The remaining articles that actually deal with games are dripping with political bias; Kotaku's writers will attack any game that does not agree with their politics, calling them racist, sexist, etc. Kotaku is also fond of publishing smear articles against game developers that disagree with their political stances; for example, their publication of articles calling Brad Wardell, CEO of Stardock Games, a rapist, when the charges against him had in fact been proven false, and the plaintiff had been ordered by the court to issue a letter of apology. Kotaku journalists are also prone to failing to disclose their personal/financial relationships with the subjects they are reporting on, in direct violation of the SPJ Code of Ethics: "Avoid conflicts of interest, real or perceived. Disclose unavoidable conflicts."

Kotaku is a gaming journalist website that uses the Gawker layout. Kotaku will report about upcoming releases on video games, talk about current controversies, sometimes produce the odd clickbait article which has a accusing title or opinions that criticize developers or the gaming community in general. The quality of the articles they produce are not exactly child-friendly and disputes about their accuracy have been claimed. There is a lot of scripts and a few webbugs.

It is another Kinja branch- this one is devoted to video games. In my limited experience there I didn't see the degree of strong opinions that others are mentioning. However, I just didn't find it compelling enough to invest a lot of time in.

Video start autoplaying, often at the bottom of the article.

A video game review and news site reporting on various events in the video gaming community. There has recently been some controversy regarding bribed employees publishing skewed reviews (cf. "Quinnspiracy") as well as a variety of other questionable tactics. The veracity of these reports are still subject to debate, but I also question the integrity of Kotaku. Proceed with a skeptical eye.

A good site. It is safe for you to visit. Viruses are not detected.

This website constantly injects politics into video games, often skimps on the video games altogether, and talks about subjects of a graphic sexual nature when it does not warn people of this whatsoever. They also have a journalistic integrity score from Reuters that is in the toilet.

Website publishes biased, click-bait articles and operates in an unethical manner. Refuses to implement an ethics policy or disclosure of relationships between journalists and game developers. They have also been known to insult an advertiser after a journalist asked to "bring back bullying" on people he disagreed with. Joined a co-ordinated attacked on their readership by declaring them "dead".

Not a good site for game reviews. Political leaning is more important to the editors than the game play and other things. They want games to be propaganda driven, not game play driven for fun.

Great website! Find here news over games and plenty of other tech news! :D

Garbage in its purest most unadulterated form.

Corrupt website that has been engaged in anti-consumer rhetoric as of mid-August 2014 following a coverup of a severe ethical breach involving nine of its employees. Those familiar with the JournoList scandal of the late 2000's may find this story familiar: ***** All product reviews and commentary by their staff should be viewed under heavy suspicion and scrutinized for potential lack of disclosure. Visit at your own peril.

It has the gall to express opinions that are unpopular in some gaming circles, and us such it is hated by neckbeards anywhere who hate freedom of speech and expression. But a good site for the more open minded and educated members of the gaming world.
