Is lulu.com Safe?

Purchased an eBook from Lulu and received an acsm file that is just a keyfile which requires Adobe Digital Editions to open and download the actual eBook. This requires that I sign up with Adobe and give non-answers to their data mining questions (still have to give them your email address though) just to download the software only to find that it will not recognise the acsm file anyway. Tried more than once without any success. I have not received a readable eBook, which is what I paid for. Have complained to Lulu and requested a refund and have not received an adequate response.

My purchase transaction with ***** was quick and easy. The product I ordered arrived very quickly. If I were a vendor I would consider using Lulu because of the paypal-integrated shopping cart with shipping to multiple countries. That can be hard to implement on a small, low-budget site. I do not have any experience with Lulu's publishing services.
