Hold the horses here! When investigating it the site could not load without cookies enabled. Then when going there it predictably had the dull flat washed-out Windows 8y mobilish look. Those were the comparatively minor issues. The bigger issue is Mozilla is both a non-profit AND a profit making corporation run by the same guy. Years ago they were viewed as open-source heroes- but how is that possible anymore? Now they want an app store too? If this somehow is legal then the law needs to be changed. This is wrong.

I believe Mozilla and Firefox to be reputable as they have developed trustworthy relationships with me. So I had little concern about the Marketplace. As I investigated the Marketplace one thing I did was to look for and find a particular app. It seemed the same as all the others I had seen before that is until I read the description. It caused me to wonder about other apps on the site. The app developer‘s description stated that it was an unofficial app and that the app used an iFrame. In the privacy section iFrame use was mentioned again and included why it was used. The privacy section stated no personal data nor login 411 was being stored by the developer. I applaud the developer’s candor. While I have no reason to disbelieve the developer I wonder if there are other developers who have not been so forthcoming. It would seem as though at best it could be a privacy and security issue and at worst an opening for an attempt at identity theft.
